Amid the ongoing season of the IPL 2025, the famous shark from the widely talked about show Shark Tank, Anupam Mittal, the CEO of Shaadi.com, has raised eyebrows with a very controversial remark on the status of IPL.
The controversy ignited with the statement from Anupam Mittal that claimed his opinion of replacing bowlers with bowling machines. He said this would make it more exciting and interesting since the game has turned totally one-sided.
The reputed Shark Tank jury wrote, “Everything is wide; no, 4 or 6 #IPL should just replace bowlers with bowling machines (sic).”
Not only did this comment spark controversies and receive a hell of a lot of views, but social media has also erupted with their opinions on this remark.
While one user wrote, “Anupam ji, what’s the next billion-dollar bhujiya? Namkeen ka Aajkal meetha swaad araha hai.”
“Agreed, the game is completely rigged in the batsman’s favor. No longer a fair contest between bat and ball, it feels like watching someone play a video game,” said a user.
While some users have completely rigged the Shark Tank judge on his opinion, as they claimed that it is just a gimmick statement, eyeing to fill their pockets.
“Exactly the same thought. IPL is a mockery of cricket. Pitches like Chennai and Delhi will only produce good competition between ball and bat. Others pitches are just highways. Bowlers look like jokers there,” a major commented.
“You definitely lack expertise…so you better not get into this IPL,” said a cricket enthusiast, likely a bit disappointed.
