Sanju Samson plays with patience as wickets kept falling from the other end, but he stood and knocked 60 runs with a strike rate of 187.50. Simron Hetmyer finished the match and put GT bowlers in pain in the last few overs, and he scored 56 runs with five sixes and two fours.
Rashid and Shami led RR in silence:
In the powerplay, Shami bowled excellent bowling, he took three wicket and gave only 25 runs and also bowled one maid over.
Rashid Khan has taken two wickets and bowls well but gave some extra runs.
Hardik Pandya also bowled well and also took one wicket. Noor Ahmed, a debutant, also took one wicket.
GT Scored 177 runs on board:
In the First Inning, Shubman Gill played a good inning and scored 45 runs, he played good shots in the Powerplay and shifted the momentum of the match toward his team.
Hardik and Gill made a decent partnership of 59 runs for the 3rd wicket, then Hardik got out in the 13th over by scoring 28 runs.
Miller and Abhinav made a small but impactful partnership of 45 runs, leading GT to score 177 runs on board.
RR spin bowlers got expensive:
R Ashwin came to bowl in the powerplay and gave a lot of runs, then Zampa came, and he also gave plenty of runs. Yuzvendra Chahal bowled, starting two overs of his spell very economical, but he also gave many runs in the last two overs.
Chahal and Zampa have taken one wicket each, whereas Ashwn got wicketless. Sandeep Sharma bowled well, took two wickets, and gave only 25 runs.
