Gujarat Titans (GT) won a historic victory in their first season at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday, thanks to a huge contribution from captain Hardik Pandya and the team support staff. Hardik Pandya proved that experience does not matter, but the art of taking right decisions can make a skilled team leader.

Gujarat Tetanus‘ historical 7-wicket victory over Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the final match of the Tata IPL 2022 The Tata Indian Premier League (IPL) emblazoned its name with gold letters and were crowned champions.

Captain Hardik Pandya led the Gujarat Titans team to the title right from the start of their first IPL season with amazing performances. It was a target of 131 runs to win the final, and chasing down the target, Gujarat Titans quickly lost the wicket of Wriddhiman Saha when the famous Krishna went to the opener’s defense and dropped the stumps.

Trent Boult increased the pressure by taking a brilliant maiden over with the new ball. Matthew Wade hit the first six of the innings, before the left-hander was caught inside the catch circle and Boult took his first wicket.

Shubman Gill hit a boundary at the end of the power play as GT went down to a mere 31/2 after 6 overs. Captain Hardik Pandya joined Gill but Rajasthan Royals kept their grip on the bowling and created pressure.

Tetanus was bundled out at 54/2 at the halfway stage of the game and needed 77 runs from the last ten overs. Pandya changed his pace while batting and hit two fours against Ashwin and shared a fifty-run stand for the third wicket.

Yuzvendra Chahal ended the partnership with a brilliant bowling, and dismissed the GT captain, who was caught at first slip. The GT was 97/3 before David Miller hit the pitch, and he easily took the pressure off the pressure with his elegant strokes and brought the score to 22 out of 24.

David Miller hit two more boundaries in the next over and scored 13 runs. Gill, who started the innings brilliantly at the other end, finished the game with a max in skillful style and Gujarat Titans followed suit with a total of eleven balls to spare.
