IPL 2024 Points Table Latest After CSK vs RR: The Defending Champions Chennai Super Kings (CSK) defeated Rajasthan Royals (RR) by 5 wickets in the match no.61 of TATA IPL 2024 at their home ground (MA Chidambaram Stadium). It was a crucial victory for CSK to get a ticket for the IPL 2024 Playoffs and now, Chennai Super Kings moves to the third position in the latest IPL 2024 Points Table with 14 points.

Chennai Super Kings is now one step closer to qualifying for the TATA IPL 2024 Playoffs however, other teams DC and LSG are also in the same boat but they need to win their upcoming matches to compete with CSK for the TOP 4 positions in the IPL 2024 Points Table. As of now, CSK has played a total of 13 matches in the tournament and from which, they won seven games and have a decent net run rate of +0.528.

After Winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals batted first but the decision wasn’t in their favour as the pitch is very helpful for the spinners therefore it wasn’t easy for the batters to hit boundaries. Both the openers made a small partnership of 43 runs, Yashasvi Jaiswal scored 24 runs whereas Jos Buttler scored 21 runs however, every batter spent some time on the pitch and contributed a few runs.

But, Riyan Parag played a fantastic inning of 47 runs in 35 balls, although it was quite slow but the conditions were tough for batting in the first inning. Rajasthan Royals (RR) was able to score only 141 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of 5 wickets in a very match against a strong team like CSK.

From the CSK bowling unit, The Youngster Simarjeet Singh took three wickets whereas Tushar Deshpande took two wickets in this match. Overall, It was an excellent bowling performance from the defending champions and they improved their game after getting a defeat in the last match against Gujarat Titans.

Chennai Super Kings started quite aggressively in order to build pressure over the RR bowlers since the starting of the inning but it didn’t last long as the Kiwi batter Rachin Ravindra got out by scoring 27 runs. However, Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad was trying to make a good partnership with other batters by rotating the strike.

Skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad stood till last and led CSK to victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR), he played a responsible inning of 42 runs. From the Rajasthan Royals bowling department, Ravichandran Ashwin took two wickets whereas Nandre Burger and Yuzvendra Chahal got one wicket each.
