IPL 2023, RCB Playoffs Scenario after RCB’s win and Virat’s Century against SRH: In a thrilling match at Rajiv Gandhi International in Hyderabad on Thursday, Royal Challengers Bangalore (Virat’s Century) emerged victorious over Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) by eight wickets.

Bangalore successfully chased a target of 187 runs, reaching 187/2 in 19.2 overs. The match’s star was Virat Kohli, the former RCB skipper, who played a sensational inning of 100 runs in 63 balls, including 12 fours and four sixes. Faf du Plessis also contributed significantly with his 71 runs off 47 deliveries, comprising seven fours and two sixes.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar and T. Natarajan managed to take one wicket for SRH. Earlier, SRH had set a competitive total of 186/5 in 20 overs thanks to a brilliant century by Heinrich Klaasen. He scored 104 runs off just 51 balls, smashing eight fours and six sixes,

After a commanding victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore has significantly improved their position in the IPL 2023 points table.

They Climbed from 5th to 4th position, but it also substantially impacted their Net Run Rate. In the last match against Rajasthan Royals, their NRR soar to +0.166, indicating a remarkable turnaround and after their win against SRH, the NRR increased to +0.180. The improved NRR will help them in upcoming matches.

Bangalore has played 13 matches this season and won 7 games. Royal Challengers Bangalore has 14 points and a Net Run Rate of +0.183. To qualify for the playoff, RCB must win their next match against Gujarat Titans. If they win with a better margin, they will have 16 points and a good NRR, so their chances of qualification will increase.

RCB vs GT:

RCB’s last league stage match is against Gujarat Titans at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium. If they win this game, they will have 16 points, and they hope LSG and MI lose their next match. If this happens, then Bangalore can indeed qualify for the playoffs.
