“MS Dhoni has decided to hand over the leadership of Chennai Super Kings and picked Ravindra Jadeja to lead the team.,” stated an official CSK release on their Twitter handle. “Ravindra Jadeja, who has been an important part of Chennai Super Kings since 2012, will only be the third player to lead CSK after Suresh Raina and MSD himself.
MS Dhoni has won the IPL Title 4 times for CSK. Under his leadership, the Chennai team has won 4 IPL Titles, in 2010, 2011, 2018, and 2021. The trophy in 2018 is the nearest to MSD’s heart as it happens to have come after the two-year ban on the team. MSD will continue to represent the Chennai team for the forthcoming season and beyond the official statement added.
