He has undergone knee surgery recently and wouldn’t be able to cover in time for the ICC T20 World Cup. This has fancied the chances of Axar Patel. He is a like-to-like or even better option with the ball. His batting is just about at par with Jaddu. His fielding cannot be compared to Jadeja’s but Jadeja happens to be the best in the world so, that doesn’t matter. Axar Patel will try to fill Jadeja’s void.
Deepak Hooda and Dinesh Karthik are Two of the Most Deserving in the Indian Team:
Two of the most deserving names on the list of 15 are Deepak Hooda and Dinesh Karthik. Not even in my worst dreams, would I have thought to see Dinesh Karthik make a comeback for India at the World Cup. But knowing that the champion he is, he did make a comeback. Deepak Hooda’s life has come to a full circle. After facing issues with the cricket fraternity 3 years back, Deepak has proved, that it is your skill that holds value.
Jasprit Bumrah and Harshal Patel are Back:
The other two names that have made a comeback to the team are Harshal Patel and the ace of pace, Jasprit Bumrah. There was word around that Bumrah might miss the T20 World Cup but his fitness is commendable. Both these senior bowlers will take care of death bowling which has been a point of concern in the recent past.
