The BCCI selection committee on Wednesday announced the Indian Cricket Team for the India tour of Ireland in 2022. The biggest development regarding the same is that Hardik Pandya has been named captain. The current stand-in captain is Rishabh Pant but when Rishabh departs for the one-off test against England, Hardik will have to step in as captain. The latest development is that Superstar Hardik Pandya is set to lead the Indian Squad in Ireland. This decision comes as Hardik is one of the senior-most players chosen for the tour and the fact that Hardik led the Gujarat Titans to victory in the TATA IPL 2022. Also, all the other players will be playing the one-off test against England and will be preparing for the same. Hence the reason that Hardik has gotten the opportunity of a lifetime. Suryakumar Yadav and Sanju Samson make a comeback to the Indian Cricket Team:
Suryakumar Yadav, the star middle-order batter who had been nursing an injury to his thumb at the NCA is fully fit and available. Surya couldn’t play the IPL 2022 season completely due to the same injury. He felt nagging pain in his forearm. However, in the few games that Surya played, he was the best batter for the Mumbai Indians who had a dreadful season. He is an Indian top middle-order batter and it is more than sure that Surya might make it to the flight to Australia in October this year.
Sanju Samson has also got his comeback call-up into the national team. This call-up comes after Sanju led the Rajasthan Royals to the IPL final. Samson is a complete team man as well. He played for the national team last time when Sri Lanka had toured India and did very well.
