India VS Pakistan 1st Innings Review:
The game began with India winning the toss and deciding to bowl first. Arshdeep Singh and Bhuvneshwar Kumar were too good with the ball in hand. Bhuvneshwar Kumar started with a maiden over. Arshdeep Singh took the benefit of the pressure built and struck with an in-swinging delivery. He hit Babar on the pads on the first ball of his innings. Next, he tested Rizwan with the short ball. And both the deliveries turned out to be wicket-taking balls. The scoreboard said, 15-2. Iftikhar Ahmed and Shan Masood held the innings together.
Iftikhar tried to take the game away. He struck 21 runs in Axar Patel’s over. But Mohammed Shami bought India back into the game. Hardik further took 3 wickets and pegged back Pakistan. But the death overs saw Pakistan score 40 runs in 20 balls. It was Shan Masood who stayed till the very end and made sure he got the crucial runs. The Pakistanis ended with 159 runs in their 20 overs.

The Indian team was rattled in the first few overs itself. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul went back to the pavilion quickly. Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf were throwing flames. Their deliveries were swinging. India was tattered at 10-2. Surya hit a few boundaries but was sent back too. He went when the scoreboard said 26-3. Virat and Hardik joined hands and took the innings deep. The India VS Pakistan deep game was brewing from here itself.
Hardik and Virat moved the ball around. The game plan was similar to MS Dhoni’s. They took the game very very deep and attacked when it mattered the most. Both the batters scored on the loose balls. They attacked the spinners selectively. Mohammad Nawaz was taken to the cleaners. The last 2 overs saw India wanting 28 runs off 8 balls. Virat hit two of the most glorious shots of Haris Rauf. Both of them flew for six!
The equation was reduced to 16 runs of 6 balls. Mohammad Nawaz had the game in hand when his first 3 deliveries gave only 3 runs. But he bowled a waist-high no ball and that very delivery was hit for a six by Virat. Further, Nawaz bowled 2 wides. It was at this moment that Pakistan lost the game. They held on till the very end but India won by 4 wickets in hand.
