
India vs New Zealand in the finals of the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy is scheduled to be held in Dubai on the 9th of March. India played New Zealand early in this edition of the Champions Trophy during the final group-stage encounter.
New Zealand is the only team to have a second chance to play in the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, as they will face India in the same venue due to the hybrid model of the Champions Trophy.
This will be the sixth-ever ICC final New Zealand has qualified for, marking their first ICC final against India in the 2000 ICC Knockout Trophy. Next in the 2015 ICC World Cup, the Kiwis played their first-ever final, followed by the 2019 final and then the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup.
New Zealand’s second win in an ICC event came in the 2021 WTC final, when Kane Williamson led them to their second major title, winning against India.

India and New Zealand for the first time clashed in an ICC knockout back in the year 2000, when the two teams faced each other in the final of the ICC Knockout Trophy.
New Zealand’s next ICC final came in the year 2015, when they clashed with arch-rivals Australia in the World Cup hosted by the two teams and lost the match.
