IND vs ENG: India lost the third T20I against England by 26 runs in Rajkot on January 28, 2025, with the series now standing at 2-1 in favour of India. England, batting first, posted a total of 171/9, with Ben Duckett scoring a fiery 51 off 28 balls and Liam Livingstone contributing 43 off 24 balls. India’s Varun Chakravarthy was the standout performer with the ball, taking 5 wickets for 24 runs, and his effort restricted England’s progress.
India in return faced immense struggles in their chase as the English pulled curtains on Hardik Pandya’s innings when the Indian side was left chasing 41 runs in the two final overs. Jofra Archer, Brydon Carse, and Jamie Overton all played essential roles in England’s 26-run victory.
The English victory earned some hope for the visitors in the meantime, as after losing two matches in a row, this seemed the match with a do-or-die. The win kept alive England’s hope of making a strong comeback, as the action shifted to Pune, with the probable return of some of the key players also highly anticipated. India will aim to win the series with their third victory in the series.

IND vs ENG: Here are the three changes India should consider for the 4th T20I against England:
1: Rinku Singh in for Dhruv Jurel

Indian left-handed T20 batter Rinku Singh, who was a constant in the Indian T20 side, was left out of the second and third T20s owing to an injury. The finisher has been in excellent form in recent times and will be started ahead of Dhruv Jurel, who has failed to impress. Adding Rinku Singh into the playing XI could provide a more explosive option in the middle order, which could be critical against a strong English bowling attack.
From 31 T20I matches, Rinku Singh has managed to score 507 runs with an average of 46.09 and a strike rate of 165.14, respectively.
2: Shivam Dube for Washington Sundar

All-rounder Shivam Dube’s addition over Washington Sundar would be a tactical move aimed at boosting India’s batting strength. Dube has been an essential player and was also a part of the World Cup-winning squad for India, but ever since then he could not feature much for India owing to his injury concerns. Now Nitish Kumar Reddy’s injury brought Dube back into the side, and Sundar’s seemingly imperfect performance with the bat might bring him back into the playing 11 as well.
From 33 T20I matches, Shivam Dube has managed to score 448 runs with an average of 29.86 and has taken 11 wickets.
3: Arshdeep Singh for Ravi Bishnoi
India’s top wicket-taker in T20I, Arshdeep Singh, has proven to be a reliable bowler in the powerplay with the new ball, especially considering his seeming brilliance with the new ball as well as the old in the death overs. Singh is nearing the terrific record of 100 T20I wickets and is the right man to swap in for Ravi Bishnoi, who has failed to make an impact against this opposition in the three opportunities he has been handed in the series.
From 62 T20I matches, Arshdeep Singh has taken a total of 98 wickets with an economy of 8.27 and is currently India’s highest wicket-taker in the format.
