IND vs ENG 2024: Ravindra Jadeja, KL Rahul Ruled out of the Second Test Match, Replacements Announced by BCCI: After losing the first test match against England, Team India’s two key players Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul ruled out of the second test match in Visakhapatnam. The Absence of these two key players will highly impact Team India’s performance in the upcoming match however, their replacements have already been announced.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the replacement of Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul for the second test match in Visakhapatnam. Sarfaraz Khan, Washington Sundar and Sourabh Kumar are the players who were added to Team India’s Test squad for the upcoming matches.
Sarfaraz Khan has continuously performed in domestic cricket in the past few years and now, he has a golden opportunity to show his talent for the Indian National Cricket Team in the ongoing five-match test series against. Sarfaz Khan is expected to replace KL Rahul whereas Washington Sundar will replace Ravindra Jadeja in the second test match.
Ravindra Jadeja’s Injury Concern:
Ravindra Jadeja has played good cricket for the Indian Team in the first team with both bat and ball but now he is unavailable for the second test match due to the hamstring injury sustained on Day 4 while batting. Jadeja’s absence is a huge setback for the Indian Team as he is the key spinner of the Team and plays a crucial role in the bowling department.
KL Rahul sustained Quadriceps Pain:
KL Rahul has sustained a right quadriceps pain but it is expected that the injury isn’t that severe however as a precautionary measure he is in medical supervision. KL Rahul played a crucial knock in the first inning in Hyderabad and he has played excellent cricket in the past few months but injury sidelined him from the second test match.
