IND vs AUS: In the first Test match of the Border Gavaskar Trophy being played at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur, Australia won the toss and decided to bat first. Indian bowlers all out Australia’s batsmen for 177 runs in 63 overs 3 balls, it means that the dominance of Indian bowlers was seen at Nagpur ground.
Coming to bat in the second innings of the first day, the pair of Indian openers, captain Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, could not last long and were caught out after scoring 20 runs while defending Murphy’s ball. Ashwin, who came to bat at number two, also played well with Rohit Sharma’s. He maged well with bowl and bat, and also included 2 fours and one six in 23 runs.
Rohit Sharma:- Indian captain Rohit Sharma today played the captaincy innings, came for the opening and he kept the batting for the entire 81 overs and he batted defensively like a shield on one leave, scoring an indivisual score of 120 runs in 212 balls, in which 15 fours and Also includes 2 sixes. Along with this century, he has also achieved a new achievement, Rohit is the only Indian player who has scored centuries in all three formats (T-20, ODI and Test) while being the captain.
Bangar said:- “The way Rohit started his innings yesterday was brilliant. The number of times he could pepper that onside boundary, and the thing that stood out for me was his balance on the crease, whether against pace or spin,”.
Ravindra Jadeja and Axar Patel:- Captain Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja’s pair was excellent and after the captain, Akshar Patel played an innings of 118 runs in which both the batsmen scored half-centuries in their own way. The Indian team was very comfortable with bowling and batting on both days in the first test.

IND vs AUS: Todd Murphy took the best 7 wickets on his international debut.
Todd Murphy has become quite the sensation in the ongoing first Test match between India and Australia. He is the only Australian bowler who has looked dangerous against the Indian batting line-up. Murphy has dismissed KL Rahul and R Ashwin in Test matches so far, and he will be expected to pick up more wickets in the upcoming seasons of first Tests.
