Pakistan defeated Sri Lanka by six wickets at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad. They played wonderful cricket, especially with bat and chased the target of runs easily.
The Player of the match was Mohd. Rizwan, who played a phenomenal inning and led his team in a good position. Rizwan scored 131 runs in 121 balls with eight fours and three sixes.
Sri Lanka batted first, and they scored 344 runs on the scoreboard in 50 overs; Kusal Mendis and Sadeera Samawickrama played a superb inning of 122 and 108 runs, respectively.
Sri Lanka batter played good cricket in this match after having a bad performance in their first match against South Africa. From the Pakistan side, Hasan Ali took four wickets, whereas Haris Rauf got two wickets, and Shaheen Shah Afridi took only one wicket in this match.
Pakistan easily chased the target of 345 runs in 48.2 overs. The Pakistani batters have shown dominating cricket against Sri Lankan bowlers and didn’t lead them to build pressure in the match.
Abdullah Shafique scored 113 runs in 103 balls with ten fours and three sixes, whereas Mohd. Rizwan scored 131 runs. Both the players played a responsible inning for their team.
From the Sri Lankan side, Dilshan Madushanka took two wickets, whereas Matheesha Pathirana and Maheesh Theekshana took one wicket each.
