ICC T20 World Cup 2022

The Indian Cricket Team at the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 has a major void. The team is missing an important pacer. The absence of Jasprit Bumrah is going to cost them big time. But the Indian Cricket Team has somehow figured a way out. Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj are the 3 pacers who will be flown to Australia to possibly join the Indian team. One of the 3 pacers is supposedly going to join the squad. Here is a look at the top updates:

Deepak Chahar Ruled Out of ICC T20 World Cup 2022 due to Back Injury:

The major update is that Deepak Chahar, one of the stand-by pacers for the Indian cricket team is out due to injury. He suffered a back injury during the South Africa Tour of India 2022. He was ruled out of the series and was expected to recover in time. But the latest update is that Deepak has been ruled out. He won’t make it to the T20 World Cup for the second time in a row. One of the top BCCI officials shared this with the media, “Deepak will take some time to get fit. His back issue has flared up again. His ankle is fine and there wasn’t any issue there. So, the BCCI is sending 3 possible replacements, Siraj, Shami, and Shardul. One of them will be added to the squads.”

Mohammed Shami was out due to covid-19 but is back and fit again. Based on his performances in the IPL 2022 season, he was added to the Indian cricket teams. He missed two series due to covid and now is directly going to flow to Australia. With that being said, Mohammed Siraj is also going to Australia. He was splendid in the series against South Africa and has been gifted. The same is the case with Shardul. But Shardul also brings in the batting ability.

Shreyas Iyer will join SMAT Mumbai Team:

Shreyas Iyer, who was named as a standby batter for the Indian cricket team will not be traveling to Australia. He will instead join the Mumbai Syed Mushtaq Ali squad. The same is the case with Ravi Bishnoi who was named the backup spinner. Chetan Sakariya is in Australia as a net bowler. Umran Malik will be joining the team too.
