ICC Cricket World Cup Points Table, ICC WC Standing After South Africa vs Sri Lanka Match | ICC ODI World Cup 2023 Ranking: South Africa played a dominating cricket against Sri Lanka by 102 runs in their first match of ODI World Cup 2023 at Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium in Delhi.

The Player of the Match was Aiden Markram, who scored 106 runs in 54 runs with 14 fours and three sixes. Markram played a wonderful inning and made a crucial partnership of 78 runs with Heinrich Klaasen.

South Africa surpassed Pakistan and occupied the second position in the ICC Cricket World Cup Points Table with two points and a Net Run Rate of +2.040, whereas Sri Lanka slipped to the ninth spot.

Bangladesh has shown superb cricket and defeated Afghanistan by six wickets at Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium in Dharamsala. The Player of the Match was Mehidy Hasan, who played phenomenal cricket.

Mehidy Hasan scored 57 runs in 73 balls and took three wickets. Bangladesh batters struggled against Afghanistan bowlers, but due to the low score, they won the match.

Afghanistan batted first and got all out, scoring 156 runs in 37.2 overs; Rahmanullah Gurbaz played a responsible inning and scored 47 runs in 62 balls. Ibrahim Zadran and Azmatullah Omarzai scored 22 runs each.

From Bangladesh’s Bowling Side, Shakib Al Hasan and Mehidy Hasan took three wickets each, and Shoriful Islam took two wickets. Bangladesh chased the target in 34.4 overs.

The leading run-scorer from Bangladesh, Najmul Hossain Shanto, scored 59 runs in 83 balls with three fours and one six. Mehidy Hasan scored 57 runs in 73 balls with five fours. Now, Bangladesh is present at fourth spot in ICC Cricket World Cup Points Table.
