International Cricket Star Hardik Pandya is in a big trouble by Customs.
Indian cricket team and All-Rounder Hardik Pandya while returning from Dubai T20 World Cup Trip, on Tuesday said that he intentionally went to Mumbai airport customs counter to claim the items brought by Pandya and pay the necessary customs duty. Earlier, it was reported that his two luxury watches worth ₹5 crores were seized by customs as the cricketer failed to provide bills.
Yet, in a statement, Hardik Pandya told the price of the watch is around ₹1.5 crore and not Rs. 5 crores, and all purchase documents were presented to the customs department.
Monday morning, 15th November 2021, on his arrival from Dubai, after picking up his luggage, he voluntarily went to the Mumbai airport customs counter to declare the items brought by him and pay the essential customs duty.
Pandya added declaration:
I had voluntarily declared all the items that I had lawfully purchased from Dubai and was ready to pay whatever duties needed to be paid. As a matter of fact, the customs department had asked for all purchase documents which were submitted, however, customs is doing the proper valuation for duty which I have already confirmed to pay.
The Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya also declared that he has received all the cooperation from the Mumbai customs department and he has assured his full cooperation to them and will provide them with whatever legal documents they need to get the matter cleared.
