ENG vs WI: West Indies, the giants for the shortest format of the game will welcome back their players like Shimron Hetmyer, Nicholas Pooran, and Andre Russell for the largely anticipated T20I series to be played against England after they named their 15-man T20I squad for the first two T20 games at Barbados.

The likes of this big trio missed the T20 series during the Sri Lanka tour, owing to personal reasons; as of now, Hetmyer was recalled for the ODI series, which went in favor of the hosts 2-1.

Other than the four players who were replaced by these Big Four inclusions, the remaining core team was the same. After Alzarri Joseph faced not only criticism but also suspension for walking off the field during the final ODI, Matthew Forde came in as his replacement.

Likes of Windies’ big-hitting all-rounder, Romario Shepherd, was perceived to be fit to feature in the T20I series after he left the field in the series-deciding ODI against England owing to his cramp.

According to Darren Sammy, the biggest difficulty lies in the coaching staff selecting a playing 11, as every T20 player in the West Indies side has lots of experience in the shortest format of the game. Owing to winning the series with a team of England’s caliber, the selected team will continue to play the best form of their game.

The squad for the remaining series is yet awaited, as after the first two games at Barbados the action will shift to St. Lucia for the remaining games.
