ENG vs WI: Jos Buttler, the veteran English cricketer, is back from injury and has taken charge of the Three Lions side. Buttler took command of the second innings for England in the second Barbados T20I, where he scored an 83 off just 45 balls, thus helping England clinch the match by 8 wickets, thus establishing a 2-0 lead.

For another time, batting in the new position of no. 3, while Phil Salt and Will Jacks have been the new English opening pair, Buttler has started to find his groove at no. 3 as well. Buttler’s 26th fifty-plus score, with six humongous sixes hit in the match.

Alongside opener Jacks, Buttler went on to put in a huge hundred-run partnership for the second England wicket. Phil Salt, the centurion from the first game, got out for a golden duck in the second game.

Once again, after having won the toss, the Englishmen chose to bowl on a relatively tough track, which reduced the West Indies to three wickets down within the powerplay. The pacers Saqib Mahmood and Jofra Archer struck several times in the powerplay.

Dan Mousley and Liam Livingstone, the all-rounder spin duo, later derailed the West Indies batting lineup as they broke apart the semblance of the Windies innings, a tone set by skipper Powell alongside Romario Shepherd.

After English bowlers restricted the men from the Caribbean islands to a minor total of 158, the English batters went on to chase the total comfortably, with Buttler being the pick of the batters. Livingstone finished the inning with 23 runs scored, as he hit the final runs for England’s victory.
