ENG vs AUS: England will be hosting the Australian team for a 3-match T20I series which will be followed by a long 5-match ODI series as well. This marks the return of a long five match ODI series which has not been played for long.
The T20I series begins from the 11th of September, as the English have recently announced their Playing 11, which has left out several big names that were included in the T20 World Cup.
England will play under the captainship of newly appointed stand-in skipper Phil Salt, who replaces the injured Jos Buttler from the squad. Jamie Overton gets maiden England T20 international call and is about to make his debut with the first T20I.
While also the likes of Jordan Cox, Jacob Bethell and Saqib Mahmood will make their debut for England this summer. The first match today is to be played at the Southampton stadium of Ageas Bowl.
Australia on the other hand have recently won a 3-0 T20I series against Scotland. JFM will make his presence count in the English series.
