CWC 2023 Schedule: Cricket World Cup Qualification Playoff schedule published: The schedule for the 26 March–5 April ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualification Playoff, which will take place in Namibia, was made public today. The United States, Canada, Jersey, Papua New Guinea, the United Arab Emirates, and the hosts, Namibia, will all participate in the event.
The top two teams will qualify for the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup Qualifier, which will be held in Zimbabwe from June 18 to July 9, in a round-robin style. Two steps separate the teams competing in the Qualification Playoff from being qualified for the Cricket World Cup.
It includes the teams that finished in the bottom four in the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup League 2 as well as the top two teams in the respective CWC Challenge Leagues A and B. The Wanderers Cricket Stadium and the United Cricket Club Ground, both in Windhoek, will host the event. All matches will start at 9:30 a.m. local time.
The event will kick off on March 26 at the Wanderers Cricket Club with Namibia taking on the United States. Namibia’s hopes for an automatic spot to the Qualification in Zimbabwe were dashed by Nepal at the final minute.
