Former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly created a stir by tweeting on his social media Twitter account on Wednesday.
Sourav Ganguly expressed his desire through a message on his Twitter that he may resign from the post of President of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).
In a post on social media, he said that now he is about to do something new.
After this tweet by BCCI President Sourav Ganguly, speculations started that Ganguly is now resigning from his post.
And soon he is going to join any of a political party, there is an estimated news on social media that Ganguly will join BJP’s party.
However, Ganguly has now put an end to all these meaningless speculations.
According to the media, Sourav Ganguly has said that he has not resigned from his post nor is there anything else.
The News agency ANI quoted Ganguly as saying that I am planning to start something which I think will maybe help a lot to the people.
The BCCI President said, “I have not resigned from the post of BCCI and there is nothing else. I am launching a new education app world wide. Apart from this, there is nothing else”.. Ahead him, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed that Ganguly has not resigned from his post.
Sourav Ganguly shared an emotional post from his Twitter account, in this message he thanked the fans and fellow players for the journey so far.
He wrote, “Today I am planning to start something which I think will probably help many people. I hope you continue to be with me in this new chapter of life.”
Sourav Ganguly had a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah recently and after that there were speculations that he is going to join the BJP.
In the media reports, it has been said that the BJP is preparing to send Ganguly to the Rajya Sabha. Ganguly became the BCCI President in October 2019. His term is till September this year.
