Marnus Labuschagne was not considered for the World Cup squad due to tough competition from other players like Aaron Hardie and Jason Sangha.
Young players like inexperienced all-rounder Aaron Hardie and uncapped all-rounder Tanveer Sangha secured their spot in the 15-member Preliminary Squad of Australia for the World Cup 2023.
Cricket Australia picked Aaron Hardie and Tanveer Sangha as spin All-rounder who can bat and bowl. Spinners are crucial at Indian wickets, which were traditionally known for Spin friendly wickets.
