AUS vs PAK: Matthew Wade has finally drawn curtains to his long career in international cricket; however, alongside ending his 13-year-long career streak, he immediately transits into a new role for the Australian side.

Wade marked his retirement in the red-ball format back in March, while he was overlooked for the Australian T20 side since last playing in the T20 World Cup. Wade will continue to play in the Big Bash League, while his new role will be with the reasonably young squad of Australia against Pakistan.

Andrew McDonald will be busy with Australia’s preparation for the BGT, and hence, Matthew Wade alongside Andre Borovec will coach the Aussie T20I squad that will play against Pakistan for a three-match T20I series.

Wade will extend his role with the Australian time, as he might be seen with the team for the ODI series as well, though in an unofficial capacity.
