Some are criticising captain Rohit Sharma, while others are blaming Virat Kohli. Captain Rohit has failed to put his mark on the Australian soil, whereas Virat Kohli has scored a ton.

Amid the ongoing debate among fans and experts, former Indian cricketer Irfan Pathan supports the unchanged playing XI and expresses hope for a stellar innings from Rohit Sharma in the 5th Test of the Border Gavaskar Trophy.

Pathan stated, “Meri yeh guzarish rahegi Rohit Sharma se, Aap bilkul bhi yeh situation se bhagiye mat. Zaroor aapka balla nahi chal raha. Hum bhi keh rahe hai. Sab maan rahe hai aap bhi maan rahe hai. Lekin aap ladai kariye. Apne bohot run banaye.”

He added, “Mai dekhna chahunga Rohit Sharma iss situation mai aake ladai kare aur uss daur se bahar nikal neki koshish kare aur team ko jeet dilaye. Yeh meri personal khwaish rahegi. Zarooor jo baat maine kahi ki unka form nahi hai, woh baat bhi sahi hai. Lekin ye bhi mai chahta hu ki Rohit Sharma ladai kare, zabardast tarike se aaye aur run banaye aur team ko jitaye.”

Irfan Pathan expressed his support for Rohit Sharma, urging him not to shy away from the current situation. He acknowledged that Rohit’s form isn’t great, but emphasized the importance of fighting through it. Pathan shared his personal wish to see Rohit rise to the challenge, make a strong comeback, and lead the team to victory. He believes that despite the struggles, Rohit has the ability to fight back and score runs for the team.

As per certain reports, Rohit Sharma is expected to be dropped from the Indian playing XI ahead of the Sydney Test match due to his recent dip in form. This decision has sparked discussions, with many speculating about potential replacements and the impact of such a change on the team’s performance. Despite his struggles, there are also voices advocating for him to continue in the lineup, urging him to fight through this phase and prove his worth in the upcoming matches.
