Jasprit Bumrah, the Indian pacer, became the first player in the history of cricket to have ever picked 200 test wickets, averaging less than 20. He has so far taken 202 Test wickets at an impressive average of 19.41.
2: The fastest Indian to 200 Test wickets in terms of balls bowled
The 31-year-old pacer reached the milestone of 200 Test wickets on Day 4 of the Melbourne Test, as it took 8484 days to achieve this great feat, as he surpassed Mohammed Shami to be India’s fastest to reach 200 wickets in red-ball cricket.
3: Most wickets by an Indian pacer in an Australian tour
Jasprit Bumrah, who has taken 70 wickets in a calendar year in 2024, went on to pick the most wickets ever picked by an ace Indian bowler on Australian soil. Bumrah has so far claimed 29 wickets, with still a game remaining at the SCG.
