Asia Cup 2022 has seen India qualify for the Super 4. In the group stage games, India has beaten both opposing teams. This has ensured that India enter the Super 4 stage safely. The game against Hong Kong was very easy. The Indian team played them out in all three aspects of the game. The biggest plus point was the red-hot form of Suryakumar Yadav. Here is a quick review of the game:

India VS Hong Kong Asia Cup 2022 Review, Indian Batting Innings: 1st Innings:

The Indian team won the toss and elected to bat first. Rohit intended to attack while Rahul was passive. Rahul’s inning was difficult to decode as he was not feeling himself. He ended up scoring a meager 36 runs off 39 balls. Rohit’s inning was also cut short by Aayush Thakur. The man of the moment, Virat Kohli then took things into his hand with Surya to his aid. The scorecard read 94-2 when they joined hands.

SKY was in the mood. He was tonking the bowlers for fun. Suryakumar Yadav proved why Harbhajan Singh called him the Indian AB De Villiers. He was showing his 360-degree game. In the last the over of his innings, he hit 3 sixes! India ended with 192/2 and the star point was Virat Kohli with his half-century.

India VS Hong Kong Asia Cup 2022 Review, Hong Kong Batting Innings:

192 was always going to be tough for the Hong Kong lineup. They lost both their openers early and that made it tougher. The first wicket was courtesy of the fielding of Sir Ravindra Jadeja. He made a run-out. Hong Kong was 12/1. They kept on losing wickets consistently and couldn’t keep up with the required run rate. They didn’t chase the score down but didn’t show the effective intent to chase as well. It seemed as if they wanted to bat 20 whole overs! It showed a lack of game sense from this rookie team. Babr Hayat and Kinchit Shah were the top batters. They ended up with 152/5 in their 20 overs. The star point of this innings was that Virat Kohli came in to bowl an over.

Score Card:

India: 192/2.

Suryakumar Yadav: 68 runs in 26 balls.

Virat Kohli: 59 runs in 44 balls.

Hong Kong: 152/5

Babar Hayat had 41 runs off 35 balls.

Kinchit Shah had 30 runs off 28 balls.
