It was a cautious start by Abhishek Sharma, but he took the charge on his shoulder and made sure that India are getting to score big. The left-hander reached his century off just 46 balls, which is the joint-third fastest century for India in the T20 internationals.

He was 28 off 24 at one stage then completed his maiden fifty off just 33 balls. After reaching his fifty, he reached his hundred off just 46 balls, which means he completed next 50 runs off just 13 balls. He has created a massive record now. Abhishek Sharma reached his ton in his second innings.

With this he became the fastest Indian batter to reach his first T20I hundred. Two innings are the least by a batter in T20Is. Earlier, Deepak Hooda held this record. He took three innings to register his maiden T20I ton. Abhishekh Sharma also became the fourth-youngest Indian to score a T20I hundred. He reached his ton at 24 years and 302 days old. India ended with a massive total of 234/2 in th first innings.

India had a 137 runs stand for the second wicket. Ruturaj Gaikwad also played well for his 77 unbeaten off just 47 balls. Rinku Singh game India the finishing touch and made 48 not out off just 22 balls, with five sixes and two sixes. Abhishek Sharma hit 47-ball 100, with seven fours and 8 sixes. India won the game by 100 runs.
