The all-exclusive season of the Premier League has come to an end. The Prem trophy was lifted by Manchester City. The team has got their hands on the trophy for the 6th Time. This elite team was supremely well managed by Pep Guardiola and hence they have won this season. The team had star players like Kevin De Bruyne, Phil Foden, and many others. Here’s an in-depth look at all the key players, moments, and their contributions:
Manchester City Wins 6th Premier League Title:
As the premier league proceeded, the blues were chased down by Liverpool. Liverpool was just a point behind. In the last game of the league for the boys from Manchester, they had to win to seal the deal. The game was against Aston Villa and Villa did make sure that Manchester had to work for it.
Throughout the season City did try to maintain a stable playing 11. Their starting 11 looked something like this:
Gabriel Jesus (Striker), Riyad Mahrez (Right Wing), Phil Foden (Left Wing), Rodri (Central Midfield), Kevin De Bruyne (Right Midfield), David Silva (Left Midfield), Joao Cancelo, Aymeric Laporte, Fernandinho, John Stones.
The fact of the matter is that none of the players is listed in the top 5 charts of assists and goals. The reason is that Manchester City has won the season as a team. Their effort has been cumulative and they did not rely significantly on any one player. However, the stars of the team were Foden, Jesus, Sterling, Mahrez, and Kevin. Mahrez had a decent season. Ever since he has been drafted to Manchester City, he has found it difficult to find his feet but this season was something else.

Mohammad Salah and Son Heung-Min were Top Scorers in the Premier League:
Mohammad Salah the son of Egypt won the hearts of the Liverpool fans when he grabbed the golden boot this season. He was tied in second place alongside Son Heung-Min. Son was an integral part of the success of the Tottenham Hotspurs. Both the players do not belong to Europe and just define the beginning of non-European dominance in the world of football. Mohammad Salah helped Liverpool finish in the 2nd position and Son made sure that Tottenham finish in the 4th place, qualifying for the Champions League.
Arsenal Miss out on the 4th Position:
The Arsenal management would be disheartened to miss out on a top-4 finish. The team which was once called the “Invincibles” has been struggling for the past few years. The appointment of Mikel Arteta did bring about a few positive changes. Last season Arsenal could make it to the Europa League however they have gathered enough points to finish fifth. They were just a point short of Tottenham. This would have stung Arsenal a lot as they were leading Tottenham till the 37th matchday. They just were one victory away but that got snatched away when they lost 2-0 to Newcastle.
