Every Indian fan is well aware of the peaks attained during Virat Kohli’s tenure as the Indian skipper. Especially in the longest format of the game, India attained their best-ever rankings as they were tagged the best test side and retained it during his tenure.

The Indian team won not only games but also series’ in the SENA nations, as Kohli led from the front in such tough conditions. It was under Kohli’s captaincy that India won their first Border-Gavaskar Trophy on Australian soil back in 2019.

Recently, Varun Dhawan, the Bollywood actor, claimed Virat Kohli, Sachin Tendulkar, and Michael Jordan as his favourite sportsmen. While doing the same, he reflected on Virat Kohli’s psyche during the India vs. England series, based on some facts heard from fellow cricketer’s wife Anushka Sharma.

Speaking on Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, ‘The Ranveer Show,’ Dhawan explained: “Virat, I mean, everything he’s been through, the times he’s not been in good form, some insights that Anushka shared with me about his mindset.”

“I think it was a Nottingham Test,” added Dhawan. “Where India had lost, and she said she didn’t attend that game that day. She came back; she didn’t know where Virat was, and she came to the room and saw him laid down, literally crying.”
‘He took the whole thing on himself…’

Though Dhawan might have mixed up the likely test match, he continued praising the former Indian skipper, saying how he took the load off his team despite being the highest scorer just because the team underperformed under his leadership.
