IND vs AUS: India will resume their Border-Gavaskar Trophy campaign from the 6th of December after Jasprit Bumrah led them to a victory in the opening Perth test. The first test saw the Pacers dominate across both innings as India secured a huge victory at Perth.

Rohit Sharma has returned to the side and also played for India in the Prime Minister XI test, while Shubman Gill has also returned from his injury, due to which he missed the first test at Perth.

Likely, Devdutt Padikkal might be dropped by the Indians to make way for the great Shubman Gill, while also the likes of Dhruv Jurel might be replaced by the skipper, as he makes his return having missed the first test due to the birth of his second child.

Team India’s playing XI for the pink-ball test at Adelaide:

Openers: Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul

Yashasvi Jaiswal, who stormed the Optus Stadium during the second innings of the first test, marked a splendid innings played by the youngster.

While Rohit Sharma, through the press conference, marked that KL Rahul will be the opener alongside Jaiswal, he will come in to bat down the order to make way for Rahul, who is in sublime form.

Middle-Order Batters: Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, and Rohit Sharma

India’s no. 3 issues are also resolved with Shubman Gill coming back to the side, while Virat Kohli is expected to hold onto his natural position at no. 4, especially citing his record at Adelaide.

Rohit Sharma makes his return, and concerned about his form at the top, he makes way for in-form KL Rahul in the opening spot while he returns back to the no. 6 position, from where he started his career in the longest format of the game.

Wicket-Keeper: Rishabh Pant

Rishabh Pant, the wicketkeeper, will be India’s frontline gloveman and might be seen coming up in the middle order ahead of skipper Rohit Sharma, as that would be an ideal thing to do for Team India and the Indian coach, Gautam Gambhir.

Bowlers: Washington Sundar, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mohammad Siraj, Harshit Rana, and Jasprit Bumrah

Washington Sundar might be drafted into the side as the frontline spinner, while NK Reddy, who stormed across both innings of the Perth test with the bat, is about to make his debut in the pink ball test.

Siraj-Rana-Bumrah’s trio of pace bowlers has also been restored for the Indian side, as the Aussies should fear what awaits them even with the pink ball after their dominance with the red ball.
