The German winger who made a start to his career with Schalke 04 went on to be one of Germany’s top-notch players in the position of a winger. The latest news sees him back in the buzz as the ex-Man City genius is lined up to make a comeback to the Premier League, likely with Arsenal.

The German winger was also a part of the host team of Germany that played in the Euro 2024. The Bundesliga great was picked by a famous move to Bayern Munich, where he was included often in the position of a midfielder, operating the attacking midfield position at times as well. Sane has acclaimed himself as one of the greatest among European wingers.

Reports from Sky Sports suggested recently that Gunners coach Mikel Arteta is closely observing the Bayern winger and has shown keen interest in pairing him alongside Bukayo Saka down the other wing. He might be included to replace the likes of Gabriel Martinelli.

Arsenal have a star-studded forward line that features Martinelli, Jesus, Trossard, and Kai Havertz, and adding the agility of Sane alongside Saka would gear up Arsenal’s excellence. Now only one year left of his present contract with the Bundesliga giants, the German favors a move back to England.

Before having a breakthrough as a coach in club football, Arteta was known to have served as Pep Guardiola’s famous assistant coach, second in command at Manchester City, for most of Sane’s career in the PL. Hence either coach and player have been well acquainted with each other’s form of play. With immense experience at the Champions League as well, Sane will be one of the best signings for Arsenal this summer after they included the likes of David Raya and their finest picks in Riccardo Calafiori.

All these considerations would land in favor of the Gunners, only if Bayern do not tend to show interest in renewing his contract. In 2025, the German would then be available as a free agent; however, if Sane prefers the Bundesliga over PL, then Arsenal would surely be out of luck.
