The Chennai Super Kings is quite an amazing and exciting franchise. They got associated with the biggest Superstar of Indian Cricket in the very first season of the IPL in the form of MS Dhoni. Chennai initially did not have an icon player but they broke their bank to make MSD their icon player. Players like Suresh Raina, Dwayne Bravo, Ravindra Jadeja, and Faf Du Plessis have only added to the glory of the franchise. Chennai Super Kings Will Retain MS Dhoni in IPL 2022: – 

MS Dhoni is the face of the Chennai Super Kings since the inception of the IPL.

I do agree that MSD is not the Dhoni of 2008 or 2010, but Chennai Super Kings will definitely retain him. Chennai will retain MS Dhoni in IPL 2022 because they want MS to make a core team for the future. With the likes of Ruturaj and Shardul Thakur who are expected to play at least 7-8 years more, MS Dhoni will make a team. He might not be the best with the bat but his presence on the field is enough to empower the spirits of the team and to scare the opposition. 

Chennai Super Kings Will Retain Ravindra Jadeja in IPL 2022: – 

Ravindra Jadeja has been helping the squad with the bat as well.

Chennai Super Kings will want to retain Ravindra Jadeja in IPL 2022. But the question will remain whether Jadeja wants to play for the Super Kings. He is a good captaincy material and hence other franchises will be looking for him. Jadeja is the real 3-dimensional player and his ability with the bat has been improving over the years. Hence, Chennai Super Kings will retain Ravindra Jadeja in 2022. 

Chennai Super Kings Will Retain Ruturaj Gaikwad in IPL 2022: – 

Ruturaj has become the backbone of the Chennai lineup and has beat Raina in the race for retention.

Before the start of the second leg, no one would expect that Ruturaj Gaikwad would be retained by the Chennai Super Kings. But with Indian openers being very much in demand Ruturaj Gaikwad is expected to be retained by the Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2022. He has been in top form in the UAE leg of IPL 2021. His glorious cover drives and flick shots are talks of the town. His timing of the ball is a delight to watch.  

Chennai Super Kings Will Retain Sam Curran in IPL 2022: – 

Sam Curran is an exciting prospect and can do wonders with bat and ball.

The only possible foreign retention that Chennai Super Kings will make is Sam Curran. Sam Curran is currently not in the best of form but on his day, he can turn the game both with the bat and the ball. Sam Curran will be Chennai Super Kings’ last retention before IPL 2022.
