Pakistan are the only team with an unblemished record during the new cycle after a four-wicket win over Sri Lanka in Galle and Babar Azam’s men are on course to maintain their perfect start to their campaign after bowling out their Asian rivals for just 166 on the opening day of the second Test in Colombo.

Pakistan ended the game at 145/2 in just 28.3 overs and would be keen to build on a big lead over Sri Lanka and maintain their invincibility in this campaign.

Although India is yet to register a defeat in the new cycle, their draw with West Indies has seen them slip to second place in the updated standings and their win-loss percentage has dropped from 100 percent to 66.67.

They are second in the standings along with Australia (third), England (fourth), and West Indies (fifth), the other teams that have already joined the new 2023-25 World Test Championship cycle.
