ICC ODI World Cup 2023: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and The International Cricket Council (ICC) have rejected Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) request to change the venues of the World Cup 2023 match against Australia and Afghanistan.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) wants to change the Venue of Pakistan vs Australia and Pakistan vs Afghanistan matches in World Cup 2023. As per the Schedule, Pakistan will be playing against Australia at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru, and this Ground is known for high-scoring matches, whereas Pakistan will be playing against Afghanistan at M.A. Chidambaram Stadium, Chennai, which has spin-friendly tracks.

Hence, PCB wanted to swap these venues so that they didn’t play at a spin-friendly wicket against a good Spin Attack (Afghanistan) and didn’t want to play at the High Scoring Ground of Bangalore against Australia.

Pakistan didn’t stop there, they wants to change the Venue of India vs Pakistan match, which is Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad, because there might be a security issue with Pakistani Players against 1,00,000 Spectators.
