India has had an undeniably rich legacy in the history of the ICC Champions Trophy, as they have been the joint winners of the championship, with their first shared title back in 2002 with Sri Lanka, followed by their win against England in 2013.
Over the years, many batters have contributed significantly to the success of the Indian team, from the two skippers, Sourav Ganguly and MS Dhoni, to the generational cricketers like Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli, who have graced India in the competition.
This 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will be the last Champions Trophy featuring the Indian greats Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, as India has released their squad into the CT 2025. Though Jasprit Bumrah still remains doubtful about the marquee tournament, batters Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant, and KL Rahul will also be part of India’s CT campaign.
