In the 5th Test match between India and England, the England team won the toss and batted first and scored 218 runs. During this, Kuldeep Yadav took a maximum of 5 wickets while R Ashwin took 4 wickets.
Chasing this, India scored 477 runs in its first inning and this gave Team India a lead of 259 runs. Even in the second inning, the English batsmen looked helpless and were all out for just 195 runs.
During this, Ravichandran Ashwin took 5 wickets and overall he took 9 wickets in both innings. Along with this, he made many big records in his name. The biggest record among these is taking 9 wickets in the 100th Test.

In the fifth test match between India and England, Ravichandran Ashwin set a record by playing 100 tests. He became the 14th player to play 100 Test matches for India and during this, he left behind many big giants by taking 9 wickets in his 100th Test.
By taking 9 wickets in this Test, he left behind Australian legend Shane Warne, who had taken 8 wickets in his 100th Test. He also went ahead of greats like Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev.
Both of these Indians took 7-7 wickets in their 100th Test. Apart from this, he also equaled former Sri Lankan legend Muttiah Muralitharan, who took 9 wickets in his 100th Test.
