The TATA IPL Auction 2023 will take place on December 23. To quote Harsha Bhogle, “If you want to win matches, you need good batters, but if you want to win a tournament, you need great bowlers.” Based on these lines, each and every IPL team will be looking for a few good bowling options in the TATA IPL Auction. Here is a look at the top 5 bowlers who can take the big paycheques in this auction:

**Sam Curran and Ben Stokes are considered All-Rounders.

IMG SRC: Afghanistan Cricket

The Afghan maestro went unsold last season. But he still has a lot to offer with the ball. He has good control over his carrom ball and his flipper. He bowls in the powerplay with a good economy. Under the shadow of Rashid Khan, he has been blooming like a beautiful flower. He has been playing freelance cricket across the globe and has a lot of experience.

Daniel Sams/Jhye Richardson has Registered in the TATA IPL Auction 2023:

Daniel Sams and his reputation were spoilt after conceding 35 runs in that one over against Pat Cummins. But he is an exceptional bowler. He has many weapons in his arsenal. He has the wide yorker, the pin-point yorker, the slower bouncer, and even the cutters. Daniel can also effectively bat at number 8. Jhye Richardson on the other hand needs to find his spirit. He was exceptional in the Australian domestic circuit for the past two years. Jhye Richardson will also go for big money.

Adil Rashid/Adam Zampa:

Adil Rashid and Adam Zampa are two of the best leg spinners in the auction. But they will come at the price of an overseas spot. Adam Zampa isn’t being picked after he was out of favor of all the franchises when he left the tournament mid-way in IPL 2021. But if we are going to talk about their skillset, he is up there with some of the best in the world.

Adil Rashid is coming off after winning the T20 World Cup with the English team. You certainly cannot reject a World Cup winner in the IPL Auction, right? Mumbai Indians need a good spinner and both these options can work for them.

Adam Milne/Kyle Jamieson:

A tall and fast pacer is always a good option. Kyle Jamieson seems to have dropped down the ranks after IPL 2021 but he still has a lot to offer. His abilities cannot be ignored. His height gives him an added advantage and also the much-required angle. He brings the ball to the right-handers.

Adam Milne on the other hand needs no introduction. He was the very bowler who spoilt India’s party in the 2019 World Cup. He has been associated with two of the most successful IPL franchises, the Mumbai Indians and the Chennai Super Kings.

Jason Holder has Registered in the TATA IPL Auction 2023:

IMG SRC: Windies Cricket

Jason Holder was a hot property in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction. But his performance was mediocre for the price that he was offered. However, a good pacer never goes out of trend. The bowler will once again take home a lot of money in the auction. He can also be a part of the leadership group of any team. He has a lot of experience. His height gives his deliveries good bounce.
