Top 10 biggest sixes seen at T20 World Cup 2022

T20 World Cup 2022 was a tournament of wonders. With T20 specialist teams such as the West Indies being knocked out of the tournament by underdogs Scotland and Ireland, as well as recent Asia Cup champions, Sri Lanka, facing a crushing defeat at the hands of Namibia, all cricket fans got a taste of what was to come later in the tournament. 

The group stage was also exciting, with England losing to Ireland and Zimbabwe defeating Pakistan; however, both of these teams advanced to the Finals. 

The players’ enthusiasm in hitting the white ball out of the park for miles with some humongous hits was matched by their excitement and thrills. 

Here are the top ten sixes from this year’s T20 World Cup 2022.

1. Junaid Siddique [ UAE ] – 109 M

The UAE man hit a humongous hit of 109 meters while facing pacer Dushmantha Chameera, playing against Sri Lanka in the qualifiers.

2. Iftikhar Ahmed [Pakistan] – 106 M

The rescue man for Pakistan in this year’s T20 world cup hit Proteas pacer Lungi Ngidi for a monstrous six of 106 meters while playing a decisive match against South Africa.

3. Odean Smith [ West Indies] – 106 M 

The Windies big hitter is known for such hits, and one such hit came from his bat when he hit Irish pacer Mark Adair for a 106-meter six. 

4. David Miller [ South Africa] – 104 M

The African finisher Killer Miller was back in the groove against India when he smashed Ravichandran Ashwin for a 104-meter six over long off. 

5. Rovman Powell [ West Indies] – 104 M

Another West Indian giant who hits the ball long smashed Blessing Muzarabani for a humongous 104-meter six over cow corner while playing against Zimbabwe in the qualifiers. 

6. Mitchell Marsh [ Australia] 102 M

The strong lad from Western Australia rattled Fionn Hand for a huge 102-meter six, playing against Ireland.

7. Aaron Finch [ Australia] 102 M

Australian captain Aaron Finch hit kiwi master pacer, Trent Boult, for a long hit of 102m over the fence in the very first match of the groups. 

8. Glenn Phillips [ New Zealand ] – 100 M

The in-form batter for New Zealand made a ball from Adil Rashid sail into the stands for a 100m long six.

9. Jos Buttler [ England ] – 100 M

The English captain hit many sixes in his marvellous innings in the semis against India and one of them getting the maximum distance of 100m is the longest of the lot.

10. Marcus Stoinis [ Australia ] – 98 M

Stoinis showed a great display of power hitting with his 17 balls 50+ knock in which he nailed many sixes, especially of Hasaranga and the longest of the lot being a 98-meter hit over deep mid-wicket, which is the only below-100-meter hit in the list.
