T20 World Cup: Trophy for ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 unveiled in New York | Schedule & Available Tickets: To kick off the trophy tour for the next competition, USA bowler Ali Khan and cricket icon and two-time T20 World Cup champion Chris Gayle lit up the Empire State Building in New York. June 1, 2024, marks the start of the ninth Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be held in the United States and the West Indies.
The official launch of the trophy tour for the event took place at the famed Empire State Building in New York when the landmark skyscraper lit up in blue and pink—the official tournament colors – when Chris Gayle pulled the switch to light up the edifice.
This will be the first ICC tournament conducted in the United States, and it will be held in three different venues: the recently rebuilt Grand Prairie Cricket Stadium in Dallas, the brand-new 34,000-seat Nassau County International Stadium in New York, and the Broward County Stadium in Lauderhill.
Eight matches will take place in New York, and four matches each will take place in the other two locations. Matches will be played at esteemed locations including Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, and Trinidad and Tobago, according to West Indies, who is co-hosting the event.
The Trophy Tour will reach 15 countries across four continents, visiting sports teams and stadiums, famous landmarks and legendary cricketers, to give fans an ‘out of this world’ cricket extravaganza and a glimpse of the most coveted prize, the T20 World Cup. Can be invited.
Apart from these 15 countries, the trophy will also visit emerging American cricket countries like Argentina, Brazil and Canada to attract new fans to the game.
