Sri Lanka’s tour schedule to Bangladesh has been revealed: Bangladesh will get a chance to put the pressure on the ICC World Test Championship pacesetters when they host Sri Lanka for two Test matches starting late next month.
Sri Lanka will arrive in Bangladesh in early March for a total of eight matches, which will include three T20Is and three ODIs before the World Test Championship competitions in Sylhet and Chattogram.
Bangladesh are currently fourth in the World Test Championship standings thanks to a win and loss against New Zealand late last year and will be keen to make it to next year’s final through some good performances on home soil.
Sri Lanka have two defeats to their name during this World Test Championship period after a disappointing effort against Pakistan last year and have got a chance to score some points against their Asian rival.
The first Test is scheduled to begin in Sylhet from March 22, before which the teams will travel to Chattogram for the final match from March 30.
