Reports are stating that the Indian veteran legspinner, Yuzvendra Chahal, and his celebrity wife, Dhanashree Verma are looking to get separated through a divorce. The sources close to the couple have revealed that the divorce thing has not been finalized as of yet, but they are sure to split ways soon.
“The divorce is inevitable, and it’s only a matter of time before it becomes official. The exact reasons for their separation are not known yet, but it’s clear that the couple has decided to move on with their lives separately,” a source in the know was quoted as saying by the Times of India.

Both of them have unfollowed each other on Instagram, and this has sparked the rumours of a divorce. Moreover, the couple has also removed photos with each other from their social media profiles. Both of them had their marriage ceremony in December 2020.
Meanwhile, the leg spinner was not retained by the Rajasthan Royals ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction. He was then bought by the Punjab Kings for 18 crore INR and will be sharing the dressing room with fellow Indian cricketer Shreyas Iyer. The veteran spinner is the leading wicket-taker in the tournament’s history, with 205 scalps in his bag in 160 matches.
Chahal has not been in the national team for quite a long time. He featured in the Indian team for the last time back in August 2023. Chahal has played 72 ODIs and has scalped 121 wickets at an average of 27.13 and an economy rate of 5.27. He has played 80 T20Is and has scalped 96 wickets at an average of 25.09 with an economy rate of 8.19. Both Chahal and Dhanashree have faced a lot of trolls in the past year or so.
