PCB Issues NOCs to Four Pakistani Players to Play in the Franchise Cricket After Recovering From Injury: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) gave No Objection Certificate (NOC) to some of the players of the Pakistan National Cricket Team, who recently came out of injury recovery. These Pakistani Players will participate in the franchise-based T20 Cricket (BPL 2024 and ILT20 2024) as they already have a commitment to the franchises in these cash-rich T20 League.
Shadab Khan, Naseem Shah, Ihsanullah, and Mohammad Hasnain get NOC from the Pakistan Cricket Board to play in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 and International League T20 (ILT20) 2024. Pakistan National Cricket Team Director Mohd. Hafeez requested PCB to release NOC for these players so that they can play international franchise cricket after recovering from the injury.
These Four Players were also not part of the T20I series against New Zealand. Shabad Khan was part of Pakistan’s Team on the Australia and New Zealand tour as he suffered from an ankle injury sustained during the National T20 Championship but still, he played in the ODI World Cup 2023.
Naseem Shah got injured in Asia Cup 2023 hence he wasn’t part of the team in the ODI World Cup, Australia and New Zealand tour as well. Ihsanullah and Mohammad Hasnain were also injured which is why they didn’t play for Pakistan for a couple of months.
The Key Players like Babar and Shaheen also issued NOC by PCB:
The Former Skipper of Pakistan Babar Azam got NOC to play in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 and International League T20 (ILT20) 2024. The Current Pakistan T20I Skipper Shaheen Shah Afridi, Fakhar Zaman and Haris Rauf also received NOC from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to play in the franchise cricket like BPL and ILT20.
However, currently, these key players are playing the five-match T20I series against New Zealand. As of now, New Zealand defeated Pakistan in the fourth T20I match at Hagley Oval in Christchurch by 7 wickets.
The Player of the Match was Daryl Mitchell, who played a fantastic knock of 72 runs in 44 balls. Mohd. Rizwan also played superb innings of 90 runs in 63 balls but could get support from other players hence they gave a low total to New Zealand and they chased the target of 159 runs in 18.1 overs.
