PAK vs BAN: This has been history created as the Pakistan team has been defeated on home soil by the Bangladesh side. It was only in the first Rawalpindi test that Bangladesh secured their first-ever test win against the host nation, while now they have two wins in a row as well as the trophy with a clean sweep and their first-ever away win against a major team other than the West Indies.
Pakistan have lost their 9th consecutive test match and the sixth home test out of the 10 test matches they have played. Skipper Shan Masood has been a complete disaster, as he has lost Pakistan’s 5 home test matches since he was appointed the skipper.
The Pakistan team made several changes to the playing 11, as they dropped pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi and also rested the likes of Naseem Shah and brought in spinner Abrar Ahmed after their collapse in the first test as their all-pace attack backfired.

However, this time, if not to spinners, the Pakistani batters collapsed to Bangladesh pacers in the second innings. As they had a lead of 12 runs, they were out for 172 runs, with Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana emerging as stars with 5 and 4 wickets, respectively.
Bangladesh went off to a flyer with 42 quick runs, though the rain gods favored Pakistan as the remaining of the day was washed out; however, not for long as Day 5 went in Bangladesh’s favor as every batter scored important 30s and 20s to lead them to a historic 6-wicket win against Pakistan as they chased down 185.
Najmul Hossain Shanto lifted the title trophy with their major win for the first time in an away test. Litton Das was crowned the Player of the Match, while undoubtedly, Mehidy Hasan Miraz emerged as the Player of the Series. Pakistan is now winless for a total of 1033 days.
