PAK vs BAN: Star Pakistani pacer, Aamer Jamal is all set to miss another major outing against Bangladesh in the two-match Test series which is to be played this month.

The PCB confirmed that the Pakistan Quick is likely not to be available for the series as he will try to recover himself in the National Cricket Academy at Lahore.

Jamal, who has been a constant part of the Pakistan test side, was earlier selected in the squad for the Bangladesh tests; however, his participation was totally based on fitness clearance. Jamal’s most standout performance dates back to the 2023-24 season of Australia’s test, where he picked 18 crucial wickets in 3 games.

However, since then he has missed a majority of his games due to back injury issues.
The injury to the lower back ruled him out of a multi-format stint in the English county with the Warwickshire as he had to leave midway as he last played competitive cricket in June.

Though it was earlier reported that he was likely to miss the first test, now it has been confirmed that he has not recovered from his back injury and hence will miss the second test as well.

With Jamal being the only seam-bowling all-rounder in the squad, he is ruled out and will likely have pacers like Shaheen Shah, Naseem Shah, Khurram Shahzad, and Mir Hamza, an all-seam attack for the first match of the series.

Aamer Jamal will probably target his return before the England test series in October, as until then he will work on his fitness at the National Cricket Academy in Lahore.
