NZ vs PAK 2024: Pakistan Lost The Five Match T20I Series by 1-4, they won the last T20I by 42 runs | New Zealand vs Pakistan T20I Series 2024: Pakistan defeated New Zealand in the fifth T20I match at Hagley Oval Cricket Ground in Christchurch by 42 runs. The Player of the Match was Pakistani All-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed, who took three crucial wickets and scored 5 runs in this game. However, Pakistan lost the five-match test series by 1-4 against New Zealand.

Pakistan played good cricket in the fifth T20I match in Christchurch, especially with the ball and if they had done the same since the first T20I match in this series then the results might be different. Pakistan batted first and they scored a decent 134 runs on the scoreboard with the loss of 8 wickets in 20 overs. The Wicket-Keeper Batsman Mohd. Rizwan scored 38 runs in 38 balls.

Fakhar Zaman played an aggressive knock of 33 runs in 16 balls with one four and four sixes at a strike rate of 206.25. The Former Skipper Babar Azam failed to perform in this game as he was able to score only 13 runs despite his one catch being dropped in this game. Overall, Pakistan gave a decent target to the strong batting line-up of New Zealand on their home soil.

New Zealand performed poorly and got all out by scoring just 92 runs in 17.2 overs. The Absence of key players like Kane Williamson and Daryl Mitchell impacted their batting performance a lot in the fifth T20I game at Christchurch. Glenn Philips was the highest run scorer for the New Zealand side as he made 26 runs in 22 balls whereas Finn Allen scored only 22 runs in 19 balls.

Pakistani Pacers shattered the strong batting line-up of New Zealand in the last T20I game. Shaheen Shah Afridi got some early wickets which put New Zealand on the back-foot and Pakistan dominated the game from the start of the innings. Iftikhar Ahmed took three wickets in his four overs spell whereas Shaheen Afridi and Mohd. Nawaz took two wickets each.
