Sixers are indeed what makes a T20 game as thrilling as it gets, as recently, Kieron Pollard, the big West Indian, hit five massive sixes in a set in the Hundred off Aghan ace spinner Rashid Khan.

The Hundred is a unique competition of franchise-level cricket that is organized by the ECB, as part of which 5 balls are included in a set. In the last-day encounter between the Southern Braves and Trent Rockets, the Rockets struggled first as they put on just 127 runs.

Even the Braves struggled early on, as Kieron Pollard, the big-hitting all-rounder from the Caribbean, put an end to their dominance as he hit five huge sixes in a single set—that is, five balls from Afghanistan skipper Rashid Khan.

Pollard has now taken off from international cricket as well as the IPL, as he was also seen with the England national side in their T20 World Cup campaign, which was held in the Caribbean earlier this year.

Pollard, however, is often seen yet dancing his chances across global tournaments, participating in many of them, with The Hundred being one of the many. And with his latest antics, he has established that age is just a number and form is temporary as the class remains permanent in the game of cricket.

Among the Top 3 Players who have hit 5 or more sixes twice in their T20 career

Dipendra Singh Airee

The Nepalese batter, who has emerged as one of the strongest dominating batsmen towards the end phase of the innings, has often smacked sixes towards the back end of the innings.

Airee for the first time hit 5 sixes of 5 balls when he smashed it against Mongolia in 2023 and a year later against Qatar in 2024, where for the second time in an international match he smashed 6 sixes of 6 balls.

David Miller

The protea veteran has been an all-format cricketer for South Africa, as he has achieved this great feat with 5 sixes of the 6 deliveries in an over, for the first time in 2014 against the Dolphins, while the next was done internationally playing for South Africa in 2017.

Miller, though, has never hit more than 5 sixes in an over, yet having hit 5 sixes two times, he finds himself in the list.

Kieron Pollard

The big West Indian, who was also their T20I skipper once, has had many impossible records under his belt in the shortest format of the game. Pollard often has hit massive sixes in franchise leagues around the world.

Pollard hit 6 sixes in an over in an international encounter against Sri Lanka in 2021, and the next came the other day against Rashid in the Hundred, where he hit 5 sixes in a single set and made a spot for himself in the list.
