The Gujarat Titans, who made their debut back in IPL 2022, have played three seasons and hence went on to feature for two finals, winning it back in 2022 in their debut season.

For all these reasons, they had the likes of Vikram Solanki, Ashish Nehra, and finally, Gary Kirsten serving as their coaching staff. After Kirsten joined Pakistan limited-overs cricket as their head coach, this made a void in the Gujarat Titans side for the role of batting consultant.

Earlier reports claimed that Yuvraj Singh might be considered for replacing the likes of Ashish Nehra after the Titans suffered a heavy setback with an 8th-position finish in IPL 2024. Later, the reports suggested that Nehra and Solanki both signed a 3-year extension with the franchise after their tremendous success in the first two seasons.

Now, Parthiv Patel, the Indian veteran domestic cricketer, is all set to join the Gujarat Titans side as the batting coach for the side. Patel, who has had immense knowledge of the domestic circle and also served as the scout for Mumbai, will be seen for the first time in a coaching role.

While the likes of Shubman Gill will be retained for sure in the IPL 2025, the likes of Rashid Khan, the Afghan all-rounder, might be severely under doubt of retention.
