IPL 2023: The IPL has always given chances to quality all-rounders who have the advantage of extra bowling options, which is effective in a T20 game. All-rounders are mostly either reliable batters or bowlers, who also can deliver the other way around, i.e., proper batters who can bowl a few overs out or proper bowlers who can score some quick runs. Therefore, all-rounders are the best set of players, especially for the T20 format, as the format demands more intent than class.
Let’s look at the Top 5 All-Rounders in IPL 2023:
5. Ben Stokes
England’s test captain is probably the most reliable all-rounder in today’s limited-overs cricket. Stokes played a pivotal role in England’s victory in the 50-over CWC in 2019 and the T20 World Cup of 2022. Stokes is a very reliable middle-order batter, as he provides great control to the game and often delivers as a finisher down the order.
Stokes is also a feasible bowler and can bowl in all conditions of the game. In short CSK’s big bucks on Stokes are expected to not be in vain as Stokes can be the most valuable player in the league. He can prove to be a real asset for CSK in IPL 2023.
4. Cameron Green
The lanky Aussie allrounder is the second-highest bid of the league and was picked at a whopping price of 17.5 Crores by the Mumbai Indians. Cameron Green has proved himself to be flexible in the batting order, as he can bat both as an opener or as a finisher down the order.
Green can also be a good bowling option in the middle overs as he has great variation in bowling and makes good use of his height. MI would depend largely on this allrounder in IPL 2023.
3. Hardik Pandya
The ace Indian all-rounder is a star performer in limited-overs cricket. Pandya is one of the most dangerous finishers in world cricket, known for turning the course of the game within a course of a few balls. Pandya since his recovery has improved more as a player, batting with more prominence and bowling with greater efficiency.
Pandya had a wonderful IPL in 2022 and continued his form in international cricket and is also the newly appointed performing skipper for Team India. We expect him to repeat the same in IPL 2023.
2. Sikander Raza
The Zimbabwean is the shining star in limited-overs cricket in 2022. Raza is the most performing player of 2022 and is the only player to feature in ICC’s recommended playing 11 of both Odis and T20Is. All set to make his IPL debut in the 16th edition of the IPL for the PBKS, Raza would hope for a good spot in the team and would look to impress the IPL spectators to attain some fandom.
1. Mitchell Marsh
The strong allrounder from Western Australia has emerged as an eminent batter in T20 cricket for both his national side Australia and his domestic franchises like Perth Scorchers and Delhi Capitals. Though he never plays much of a role in bowling, still he is an eminent performer with the bat and can be a decent contributor with the ball if required. He has the potential to become the best all-rounder in IPL 2023.
