The Pakistan cricket team made an astounding comeback in the game against India. The India VS Pakistan game was a nail-biting encounter. They beat India with a ball to spare and with 5 wickets in hand in the Super 4 Asia Cup Game. They exposed the weak points of the Indian bowling lineup. The Indian batting also looked a bit below par. Here is a quick review of the game:
India VS Pakistan: 1st Innings (Indian batting):
The first inning was the Indian batting innings. Pakistan won the toss and put India to bat first. It was an impactful start for India. Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul looked in solid touch. Rohit was timing the ball exceptionally well. The Indian team was at 54/0 after the first 5 overs. The team was looking set for a big score. But then the wickets came tumbling. India kept losing wickets.
Rohit was dismissed by Haris Rauf when for 28. Rahul was dismissed by Shadab for the same score. India was at 62/2. With the fall of Surya’s wicket, the team was pegged back at 91/3. Hardik Pandya had an off day at work. He was dismissed for not. Virat Kohli was the star of this evening scoring 60 of 44 balls and taking India to a respectable 182/7.
India VS Pakistan: 2nd Innings (Pakistan batting):
The Pakistan batting started on a sour note. Skipper Babar Azam was dismissed for 14 runs in the 4th over by Ravi Bishnoi. The scoreboard said 22-1. Then walked into Fakhar Zaman. Zaman and Rizwan moved the scoreboard fast. At 63/2 Zaman’s wicket was taken by Yuzi Chahal. The next few overs also went in India’s favor but the masterstroke from the Pakistani dressing room was to send Mohammad Nawaz in at number 4 to play a few lusty blows. Hardik and Yuzi both had a poor day with the ball conceding runs at the rate of 10+ an over.
Mohammad Nawaz was the star of the night. He was the game changer. He tonked the big sixes scoring 42 runs off 20 balls. Bhuvneshwar Kumar did try to pull things back by bowling an exceptional over which gave only 2 runs and took the wicket of Nawaz but the Indian lineup was struggling. Arshdeep Singh dropped the catch of Asif Ali. It was one of the simplest catches in cricket history. It was a dolly. This is exactly where India lost the match. Asif and Iftikar finally finished the game with 5 wickets and 1 ball to spare.
